Tommy, Storm, Beck, and
Bick are stuck in the lower area of their ship, waiting for their father to
come from the main deck. They wait and wait, but their dad does not come. When
the storm finally ends, they go to the main deck to find that their father has
vanished.
Treasure Hunters is about the Kidd family
children going treasure hunting while looking for their father and mother, who
are world-wide treasure hunters. The siblings also have to fight against their
father’s nemesis, a man named Nathan Coiler, and sea pirates who want their
treasure.
The first reason I liked
this book is because it has jam-packed humor. One of the most humorous areas is
when the Kidd family goes to a treasure site where their fortune is hidden.
They take some of the treasure on board and go to a port area to get food. At
the restaurant, they buy everyone milkshakes! While reboarding the ship, the
police come and ask how they have enough money to buy everyone milkshakes. They
lie and say the get a very large allowance from their “uncle” Timothy, who is their
legal guardian.
Another reason why I
loved this book is because it kept me on the edge of my seat. For example, the
evil pirates hop on the Lost, the Kidd family ship, and look for the key
of “The Room” where they keep all the treasure maps. The pirates leave the Kidd
family on the main deck of the Lost and look for the key, but the Kidd family
successfully stops them from opening the room by fighting back.
I would give this book a
ten out of ten because it is full of adventure. This book is continued by Treasure
Hunters Danger Down the Nile. Once you read the first book, you must read
the next one. There is also a new Treasure Hunters book, Quest for the City
of Gold, coming out in 2018. If you like adventures and a book that you can
never put down, this is the book for you. So get reading!
